Did You Know: When Alexander Julian agreed to design the original Hornets uniforms he asked that his payment for the project be 5 pounds of BBQ a month or as he called it “Carolina Caviar” from Papa Doc’s Pig Palace.

Also in early designs the Hornets were going to have PINK as a primary color.

  1. I used to work at Papa Doc’s and actually had to send the barbecue to Alexander Julian for his Hornet’s uniform design.
